A monitored alarm is an intruder alarm system that is connected to an alarm receiving centre (ARC). When an alarm is activated, the ARC will contact a pre-agreed ‘nominated contact’ so that they can attend or contact the site. ‘Nominated contacts’ can be keyholders for a business premises or private home. If appropriate the ARC will also contact the local police authority or fire brigade.
