The company were looking to improve upon their methods for monitoring the temperature in their fridges and in particular their incoming electrical supply. Critical to their operations in Burton, their fridges play an important role in the storage of products for their global customer base.
After discounting the option of placing monitors on fridges, they turned to Yee Group for an alternative and more cost-effective solution.
By calling upon our problem-solving skills and more than 40 years of experience, we were able to offer Midwinter Solutions an innovative plan to use the existing intruder alarm monitoring mechanism, to warn key personnel of potential breakages in the power supply. Uniquely, we were able to adapt the existing infrastructure to become the basis of a power management system.
This low-cost solution offered vital protection to their electrical supply for the fridges that are so integral to their operations. Our installation meant that, in the event of a mains failure, a monitored alarm would automatically send a signal to Yee Group’s Alarm Receiving Centre, who would swiftly notify the keyholder or nominated personnel of the potential problem.
Yee Group’s electrical contracting team was able to give Midwinter Solutions complete peace of mind by providing comprehensive protection for their high-value stock. This ingenious energy management system provided a reliable, automated and cost-effective method for monitoring fridges. Yee Group drew upon its knowledge of the company’s state-of-the-art, Eaton intruder alarm system which utilises dual path monitoring, to develop the solution. The company has also employed Yee Group for other security installations including a HD IP CCTV system.
